The Valley Kangaroo Rugby Club is looking to hire a head coach for the upcoming fall
and spring seasons, 2010-2011.
Valley plays in 2nd division of PNRFU, North. We had a strong season last year, qualifying for the playoffs. We strive to field a full first and second side for each match day, especially home games, as well as a Division III team made up primarily of under 23 year old players. We have several part time and assistant coaches available, but need a strong Head Coach to tie things together and continue the momentum from last year. A program of strong fitness and aggressive play has been established for the past 18 months by Byron Kelly, who has had to resign to pursue a career opportunity overseas.
Compensation for qualified coach, depending on experience and commitment.
Expectation:
- Run training sessions
- Tuesday and Thursday nights
- 7PM,
- Sunset Park, SeaTac.
- Attend team meetings, and occasional social events.
- Attend all games, home and away.
- Direct selection selections and actively coach the First XV, oversee Second XV.
Home Pitch is Pat Ryan Memorial Rugby Field, just north of SeaTac
Airport. Leased and maintained by Valley Rugby Club.
Training pitch is nearby at either Sunset Park or North SeaTac.
